Larry and Deana Flak

2nd Annual Christmas Party.

Thanks to Larry and Deana Flak for a great weekend. The food and company were the best. As it turned out the fishing was pretty good as well. Best fishing I got into was at the cut on the East end of the beach when the tide was going out. The Black and Red Drum were just queuing up to jump on the hook. As soon as the tide changed the honey hole dried up.  The rest of the gang were doing OK as well. further up the beach. Larry had a nice red and also caught the catch of the day, he got Singing Georges rod back for him (11ft 9in Breakaway and 525 Mag reel)  Looks like their are still a few live mullet in the cuts on the side of the road before you get to the beach. Fish bites worked well on the Sunday producing Red and Black Drum.  Here are some pictures of things you might see on the beach at Matagorda. Thanks again to the Flake's. Regards Nickaway
