Flakman plays host.
Matagorda at the best fish camp on earth.
I had a great time with Flackers and all the crowd. The camp was A1 as per normal and the company was great. The beach was a little bit weedy but not as bad as it is down hear. As it turned out Gaff top were going to be the meet for the pot. God bless those slime balls. Good thing was I did not have to touch them as Art Hebert was acting as my mate, taking them off the hook. He also helped screaming reel clean them.
On Sunday Flakman was gracious enough to take us out in his very unique GoDevil boat.Flakmobile plus GoDevil
(That name is appropriate). It goes on water and after a days use it had only used 6 gallons. We went over the entire East bay. Red Fish everywhere but not one of them would bite a lure. They were bums up in the mud doing what Red fish do. 10,000 of them. We tried every lure in the boxes. Top, Bottom and middle. Fast slow. No go. (My kingdom for a shrimp).
When we got back to Camp Screaming reel and his good laddy had been cleaning Gaff top. He was covered in slime from head to foot.
Miss Screaming Reel and old slime ball.
Hardhead was cooking and just enjoying.
My mate Hardhead looks stressed don't he. I think he stayed an extra day.
Note Surfgirl drinking water.
It was great sharing with you all and again thanks Flakman.
Our gracious host. Flakman.
Thanks for a great time mate. Enjoyed everyone's company especially the stories I have recorded from the previous night. Safe trip to our winter Texans and Artie thanks for touching the gaff top. :-)
